Remake may finally see light of day
Howard Stern Revisits "Porky's"
Radio shock jock Howard Stern is dusting off his plans to remake Porky's, the 1981 bawdy teen sex comedy. Stern, who enjoyed enormous film success when his best-selling tome Private Parts was turned into a movie of the same name, has been interested in producing a Porky's update for several years now, but nothing ever came to fruition, despite Stern's frequent mentions about the topic on air. Lately, Stern has been announcing that the remake is a go via news commercials on his nationally syndicated morning show on Sirius Satellite Radio. Stern will co-produce the film under the banner "Howard Stern Presents" alongside Dan Gross, a former Dimension Films executive.Production, cast members, and release dates have not been announced.
