Clay Aiken's a Proud Father

Clay Aiken announced the birth of his first child, Parker Foster Aiken, on his Web site (www.clayaiken.com) Friday.

"The little man is healthy, happy, and as loud as his daddy," the 29-year-old singer wrote. "Mama Jaymes is doing quite well also."

As for who Mama Jaymes is, she's Jaymes Foster, a friend of Aiken's—a record producer he met while finishing second in the second season of American Idol. The pair's son was born at 8:08 a.m. on Friday and weighed in at 6 pounds, 2 ounces.

Clay Aiken's latest LP, On My Way Here, was released in May of this year.
