For $870,000 loan
Richard Dreyfuss Suing Father and Uncle
Richard Dreyfuss doesn't joke around when it comes to his money. The actor is suing his father and uncle, according to the Associated Press. Dreyfuss has filed suit against his relatives over an unpaid $870,000 loan. Apparently, Dreyfuss lent them the money in 1984 and claims that his father, Norman Dreyfuss, and his uncle, Gilbert Dreyfuss, acted with "fraud" and "malice." He is seeking a full repayment of the loan, as well as interest and other punitive damages.Dreyfuss allegedly loaned the pair the money when they owned interest in a downtown Los Angeles office building. In papers filed in court, Dreyfuss claims that his uncle refuses to hand over records of his financial status. More on this dicey familial financial situation as it continues to unfold.
