Don Johnson Resurfaces
Don Johnson was a TV, film, and pop culture icon in the 1980s thanks to his role as Sonny Crockett on Miami Vice. Johnson may have disappeared from the entertainment radar in recent years, but he's making his return to the big screen, accepting fatherly roles in two upcoming films.Johnson will appear in Disney's When in Rome with Kristen Bell. Johnson will play the father of Bell's character, a lovelorn romantic who steals coins from a fountain in Italy only to find herself pursued by the men who tossed coins in that same fountain. He was also star in the comedy A Good Old Fashioned Orgy, again in a paternal role. He will play dad to the character portrayed by comedian Jason Sudeikis. Johnson has been absent from the big screen for over twelve years, with his last studio picture being 1996's Tin Cup.
