    MTV has named its Video of the Year nominees for 2008, including Britney Spears ("Pieces of Me"), the Jonas Brothers ("Burnin' Up"), Chris Brown ("Forever"), the Pussycat Dolls ("When I Grow Up"), and The Ting Tings ("Shut Up and Let Me Go"). Whether or not Spears will appear/perform at the show's September 7 broadcast is unknown. What we do know is she's working on a new album, her "best work ever" according to an interview with OK! magazine.
