Figures Emerge From Britney Spears' Custody Battle
Court documents from the bitter custody battle of Britney Spears and Kevin Federline have slipped out, showing that Spears had to pay two law firms more than $466,000 in addition to the $250,000 she owes Federline's legal team. Stacy D. Phillips filed the largest bill: close to $407,000 for four months of work, not including the $125,000 in fees she's already written off. Spears' other attorney, Laura Wasser, is asking for $60,000 after nearly two months of negotiating a settlement that allows Spears more time with her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. At the moment, Federline has full custody of the children and Spears is allowed some overnight visits. The former couple was married in 2004 and finalized their divorce last July, including a $20,000 a month settlement that Spears pays Federline.
