Dave Matthews Band's Sax Player Passes Away
Dave Matthews Band co-founder/saxophonist LeRoi Moore died on Tuesday at the Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles. He was 46. According to his publicist, Ambrosia Healy, Moore's passing was unexpected, the result of complications from an ATV accident at his farm outside Charlottesville, VA.Dave Matthews announced the death of his "dear friend" during a concert on Tuesday at the Staples Center in LA. Jeff Coffin of Bela Fleck and the Flecktones is filling in for Moore at the moment.
"All of us are just really sad and down about it," Christian Tomas, an Anaheim fan at the LA show, told CNN. "But if Dave and the band decided to go on with the show, that means they know it was the right thing to do and Leroi would have wanted it."
