Third "Scooby-Doo" Movie Headed Straight to DVD

The third (and possibly final) installment of the Scooby-Doo live-action movie franchise is currently being filmed in Vancouver, Canada and will be shipped right to DVD via Warner Premiere, a direct-to-DVD production arm. The film will also appear on the Cartoon Network.

The movie, titled Scooby-Doo: The Beginning, is a prequel to 2002's Scooby-Doo and its follow up, 2004's Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, both of which starred Sarah Michelle Gellar and Matthew Lillard. Both films were released by Warner and enjoyed healthy commercial success, taking in over $450 million in global revenue.

The prequel will revolve around the formation of Scooby's crew of teenaged pals.
