Replacements Drummer Passes Away

Steve Foley, The Replacements' final drummer before their breakup in 1991, was found dead in his Minneapolis home on Monday. Foley's co-workers were looking for him after he didn't show up to his car salesman job.

According to an interview with his sister Colleen in the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Foley had accidentally overdosed on prescription medication.

As brief as his tenure was in the band, Foley once told a biographer, Jim Walsh, that "(Playing with them) will always be a treasure in my mind. Some days I walk down the street and go, 'God, I was in that f------ band?' Unbelievable. It is."
