Max Thieriot is a Prodigy for Intrepid Pictures
Teen actor Max Thieriot, late of Nancy Drew and Kit Kittredge: An American Girl, is transitioning into more adult, less child-friendly fare. Thieriot has landed the lead role of William Cooley in Prodigy, a sci-fi flick from Intrepid Pictures. Chuck Russell will direct.Thieriot's Cooley is a student at a prestigious boarding school that produces world leaders thanks to pharmaceutical engineering. When some of the school's alumni are murdered, Cooley is somehow implicated in the crimes. One of his classmates is dispatched to investigate him and the pair end up as unexpected allies and discover a conspiracy that is being pinned on them. Dave Kalstein authored the book and adapted the screenplay himself.
