Showalter and Ian Black Headed to Comedy Central
The Michaels Have Issues
Michael Showalter and his former The State cohort Michael Ian Black are headed to Comedy Central. The Michaels will star in a sketch comedy series, Michael and Michael Have Issues. The show will be a half-hour series full of segments about problems the Mikes have with themselves, each other, and the world around them. It's being described as a show-within-a-show and will feature Josh Pais as Jim Biederman, an executive producer on the TV show (within the TV show). The Pais character is actually named after a real executive producer who works on the Michael and Michael project. The Michaels have worked together to decent independent success on several films, including the hilarious romp Wet Hot American Summer
