'The best is yet to come'
The King of Pop Turns 50
Michael Jackson turned the big 5-0 today, leading some industry insiders to reassess his career and the music that's still on the way. Speaking to ABC's Good Morning America by phone on Thursday, Jackson said he's "looking forward to doing a lot of great things … I think the best is yet to come in my true humble opinion."When asked about the happiest time of his life thus far, Jackson referenced the Thriller/Off the Wall era: "That meant very much to me and seemed to be received so beautifully by the public and the world. You know, I enjoyed it very much."
At the moment, Jackson is reportedly in the midst of recording a 'comeback album' with Black Eyed Pea/producer will.i.am. Well, that and a little celebrating. The twice-divorced father of three plans to, "have a little cake with my children and probably watch some cartoons," before the day's over.
