Alias Readies New Solo Record
Alias' first solo studio album in five years, Resurgam, hits stores today. While it's largely a beat-led downtempo affair—largely inspired by the producer's recent move from California to Portland, Maine—Yoni Wolf of Why? and the One AM Radio contribute vocals to "Well Water Black" and "The Weathering" respectively. The longtime Anticon associate has just two live dates lined up in the coming weeks: New York's Knitting Factory on September 13 (with Buck 65 and Themselves) and the SPACE Gallery in Alias' new hometown on September 20 (with Why?).
Resurgam:
1. New to a Few
2. I Heart Drum Machines
3. Well Water Black [ft. Yoni Wolf of Why?]
4. Oakland Morning
5. M.G. Jack
6. Prelude to a Death Watch
7. Death Watch
8. Autumnal Ego
9. Place of No More Questions
10. Resurgam
11. The Weathering [ft. The One AM Radio]
12. Justamachine
13. Oakland in the Rearview
