Ben Folds Five Launch 'Don't Look Back' Series
Ben Folds Five have agreed to reunite for a one-off show on September 18 at the UNC Memorial Hall in Chapel Hill, NC. The first installment of MySpace's "Front to Back" series will focus on the band's final album, The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner. Much like All Tomorrow's Parties' "Don't Look Back" gigs, the set will be an intro to outro performance of the entire album."Of our three albums, this one brings back the most vivid memories," Folds said in a statement. "It was actually written to be one song of many movements, which is why there are motifs that appear throughout the album. That should make Reinhold a natural to be played front to back."
Interested? Tickets go on sale Monday, September 8, with all proceeds going to Operation Smile.
