    Anti-Scientology organization plans protest

Group Plans To Picket Katie Holmes' Play

Anonymous, an anti-Scientology group known for wearing faceless masks, has announced plans to picket the opening night performance of All My Sons, the long-awaited Broadway debut of actress Katie Holmes, a former Catholic who is now a member of the controversial Church of Scientology. Holmes became a member of the Church after her marriage to one of the world's most famous Scientologists, Tom Cruise.

Anonymous claims that it has uncovered hundreds of illegal actions, fraudulent activities, and human violations committed at the hands of the Church of Scientology. Tommy Davis, a spokesman for the Church, has deemed Anonymous a "credible threat" that has delivered bomb threats to the organization in the past. An Anonymous spokesperson stated that the protest will go ahead as as planned, saying that they aren't looking to shut down the production and are only picketing to prove a point. Anonymous wants to draw attention to the Church.

All My Sons opens on Broadway on October 16. Holmes has spent the summer in New York City preparing for her role. Many Hollywood critics have viewed Holmes' transition to the stage as a way to repair her ailing career, which has cooled significantly since her marriage.
