Kristanna Loken, Ian Ziering, Sophie Monk to Lampoon Maximus
Kristanna Loken, Ian Ziering, and Sophie Monk are on board to star in National Lampoon's The Legend of the Awesomest Maximus. The film, which National Lampoon will produce, is a send up of epic swords, sandals, and loincloth flicks like 300 and Gladiator. Director Jeff Kanew, who directed Revenge of the Nerds, will helm this film.National Lampoon has built its reputation on spoofs of Hollywood blockbusters and has said that this film will aim to please franchise fans across the globe. Rip Torn and Will Sasso round out the cast. Production and release dates have not been announced.
