Juanes Leads MTV's Los Premios Nominations

Juanes, a popular Colombian artist known for such singles as "Tres" and "Me Enamora," has earned the most nominations in MTV's Los Premios awards, including video of the year, artist of the year, solo artist of the year, and ringtone of the year. Following close behind him are Babasonicos and Belanova with six nominations each, and Café Tacuba and the Jonas Brothers with five.

"I'm very surprised and very thankful, because MTV has supported me from the very beginning," Juanes said in a statement.

The Los Premios MTV Awards are set to air live from the Telmex Auditorium in Guadalajara, Mexico, on October 16. Viewers will be able to watch such new categories as best tour, best music in a videogame, and best fan club.
