To adapt Killing Rommel
Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer To Make a Killing
Super producer Jerry Bruckheimer, the man behind films like Black Hawk Down, Top Gun, and the hit reality series The Amazing Race, has partnered with Disney to adapt Killing Rommel, a novel by Steven Pressfield. The book is about a British battalion and its attempt to disrupt a North African desert campaign by German field marshal Erwin Rommel. Rommel used Panzer tanks to overtake the British in the desert in 1942.Bruckheimer will produce the film from a script written by Randall Wallace, who specializes in battlefield films, having written Braveheart and Pearl Harbor. Pressfield will also work on the script.
