Jennifer Connelly and Paul Bettany To Play Darwins

Real life Hollywood power couple Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly are teaming up to play a husband and wife on screen. The pair have signed on to play Charles Darwin and his wife Emma in Creation. The film will focus on the life of Darwin, the man who popularized evolution theory.

The film will aim to show a different side of Darwin, focusing on his controversial theory and what drove him to write On the Origin of Species. It will also explore Darwin's struggle to reconcile his intellectual theories and his doubt in God with his love for his religious wife. The script is based on the book Annie's Box, written by Randal Keynes, who was Darwin's great, great grandson.

Jeremy Northam has also been cast in the film. Shooting is scheduled to begin at the end of the month in England. HanWay Films will distribute worldwide.
