Spike Lee Is an Inside Man Again

Spike Lee has agreed to direct the sequel to his 2006 bank robbery/hostage negotiation heist Inside Man. The sequel, tentatively titled Inside Man 2, will include the characters from the first film, but will follow a completely different story arc.

Lee has said that the second film will explore the relationship between the bank robber, portrayed by Clive Owen, and the detective, played by Denzel Washington, in a different, yet equally tense situation.

The original Inside Man was one of Lee's biggest commercial successes, earning more than $175 million worldwide after its Spring 2006 bow. The picture also marked the longtime director's biggest opening weekend ever.
