Thomas Haden Church, Elisabeth Shue, Melissa Leo Joining Forces
An ensemble cast is being assembled for Animus Films' Don McKay. Thomas Haden Church, Elisabeth Shue, and Melissa Leo have joined the cast of the upcoming indie drama, which began shooting earlier this month in Boston.Jake Goldberger will direct the film, based on a script that he wrote. The story revolves around a man who fled his hometown 25 years ago, after a tragedy forced him out. He returns home to find that his long-lost love is dying and he is subsequently tangled in a variety of conflicts, among them murder and deceit. Church and Goldberger, who also wrote the forthcoming teen thriller Homecoming starring Mischa Barton, have been working on bringing Don McKay to the screen for years now.
