KCRW Cancels Annual 'Eclectic Evening' Concert
KCRW has announced the cancellation of its seventh annual "A Sounds Eclectic Evening" benefit show, citing scheduling conflicts. In a statement, music director Nic Harcourt explained, "We've always had a high standard for the bands we've invited to play this concert and changing the date to fall—at the end of the summer festival season—proved to be a bigger hurdle than we were expecting."Los Angeles' Gibson Amphitheatre would have hosted the concert on October 12. One of its main performers, K.D. Lang, will now play the same date at the Malibu Performing Arts Center, however, as part of KCRW's "Sessions" series.
