Starring in war-themed film with Channing Tatum
Amanda Seyfried Writing a Dear John Letter
Amanda Seyfried, last seen singing her heart out in the summer smash Mamma Mia!, has accepted a starring role in the forthcoming war-themed drama Dear John, starring Channing Tatum as a soldier who is home on leave. Seyfried will portray a girl who falls in love with the soldier while he's away from combat. The film begins shooting on October 13 in South Carolina, with Screen Gems handling domestic distribution and Relativity Media producing.In other Tatum news, rumor has it that the actor and his longtime girlfriend and Step Up co-star Jenna Dewan have gotten engaged.
