Stephen Colbert Recruits Feist, Elvis Costello For Christmas Special
Comedy Central announced the November 23 airing of A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All! yesterday. The one-hour special will feature duets with John Legend, Elvis Costello, Toby Keith, Willie Nelson, Feist and his former Daily Show cohort, John Stewart, who'll join Colbert in a rousing rendition of "Hanukkah."Fountains of Wayne bassist Adam Schlesinger—whose Cry Baby music received a Tony nomination earlier this year—and Daily Show executive producer David Javerbaum wrote most of the show's songs. A DVD of the entire thing will be available on November 25, with portions of the proceeds going to the Feeding America charity.
