Paul Verhoeven to Direct Erotic Thriller Again

Director Paul Verhoeven is notorious for directing erotic films, including the slick and successful Basic Instinct and now-classic Razzie winner Showgirls. He may return to the genre and direct an as yet untitled erotic thriller written by Wendy Miller for Relativity Media, who picked up the script in the spring and fast-tracked it into production.

The script revolves around a college intern in the midst of a risky affair with his boss' wife. Production is tentatively slated for early 2009. Miller is tweaking the script under Verhoeven's direction.
