    Spike Lee Wants Wesley Snipes

Once financially embattled actor Wesley Snipes sorts out his tax woes, director Spike Lee wants to work with him again. Lee has gone on record to say that he would love Snipes to portray James Brown in the Brown biopic that he eventually hopes to make.

Snipes was dropped from a role in Lee's upcoming Miracle at St. Anna, which hits theaters this weekend, because his legal troubles forbade him from filming abroad at the time. Lee told King that he wants Snipes to take the role of soul superstar Brown, saying, "He's a phenomenal actor and I truly feel that he'll regain the power he once had." Lee also went on to say he believes that Snipes has the "chops" to bring the larger than life Brown to the big screen. Lee and Snipes teamed up previously for Jungle Fever.
