Nicole Kidman Is the Eighth Wonder of the World

Aussie actress and new mom Nicole Kidman is attached to star in and produce The Eighth Wonder, an action-adventure film for 20th Century Fox. Explicit details about the film are purposely being kept under wraps, but it's known that the movie will focus on an archaeological discovery that is the catalyst for a globe-trotting race. It is being touted as a treasure-hunting film that pays particular attention to character development.

Simon Kinberg will write the script and produce the film. He and Kidman met when she was originally cast to star as the female lead in Mr. and Mrs. Smith, a role which we she eventually had to drop out of of. Kidman and Kinberg had hoped to work with one another after their original plans fell through. Kinberg will begin work on the script in the fall.
