Time Heals for Jada Pinkett Smith in TNT Drama

Time heals all wounds for tiny multi-talented actress Jada Pinkett Smith. She will return to TV as the star and producer of Time Heals, a hospital drama for TNT. Pinkett Smith will portray Nancy Hawthorne, the director of nursing at North Carolina's Charlotte Mercy Hospital. Pinkett Smith's character will be a strong but caring single mother who always thinks of others before herself.

Sony will produce the series alongside Pinkett Smith's own 100% Womon shingle. Her last TV series was the 1990s show A Different World. Pinkett Smith also fronts a heavy metal band called Wicked Wisdom.

Time Heals follows TNT's recent successful streak of luring big-ticket actresses to the small screen. Kyra Sedgwick stars in the uber-popular, critically acclaimed The Closer, while Oscar winner Holly Hunter is enjoying similar critical and ratings success in Saving Grace.
