Johnny Depp, Mad Hatter, Busy Actor

Johnny Depp is filling his schedule with Disney films again, a career move that has served him well lately. The actor has reteamed with longtime collaborator, director Tim Burton, accepting the role of the Mad Hatter in Burton's Alice In Wonderland for Walt Disney Studios. The film will be a high-tech production, employing 3-D and performance capture technology.

The quirky actor will also reprise his incredibly popular (and Oscar-nominated) role as Captain Jack Sparrow in a fourth Pirates of the Caribbean film. Lastly, Depp has agreed to play the sidekick Tonto in the forthcoming film version of The Lone Ranger, which will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.
