Nicolas Cage Celebrates the Season of the Witch

Nicolas Cage continues to accept a slew of new roles. The actor is reteaming with his Gone in Sixty Seconds director, Dominic Sena, for Season of the Witch, a supernatural thriller.

In the period film, Cage will portray a 14th-century knight who is dispatched with the task of transporting a girl suspected of being the witch who started the Black Plague in Europe. Cage and his cronies bring her to an abbey inhabited by monks whose specialty is exorcising demons. The film will begin shooting in Austria and Hungary this November. Relativity Media and Atlas Entertainment will produce the film.
