    Matilda Rose to inherit everything

Heath Ledger's Estate Goes To Daughter

The estate of late actor Heath Ledger has been bequeathed to Matilda Rose, his two-year-old daughter with actress and former fiancee Michelle Williams.

Ledger, who passed away in January due to accidental prescription drug overdose, signed a will on April 12, 2003, long before the birth of his daughter. He left everything to his parents and three sisters. Ledger's father, Kim, told the Australian Sunday Times that the family decided to gift the money to the little girl and that Williams did not attempt to sue them for any holdings.

Ledger's 2003 will lists $118,000 in cash and other assorted assets but it's believed his current estate is worth more than $16 million. It has not been revealed how much Matilda will inherit. In other Ledger news, the actor's former attorney, John S. LaViolette, is suing over a $10 million life insurance policy that he insists has gone unpaid. LaViolette says that ReliaStar Life Insurance is refusing to pay out a claim to Matilda. ReliaStar is hesitant to pay the claim because it is seeking more information about whether Ledger was truthful with his paperwork and that his death may have been a suicide, which would negate any pay out.
