Dailey & Vincent Nearly Sweep Bluegrass Awards
The International Bluegrass Music Association held their annual awards show last night, dishing out five nods to Dailey & Vincent, including entertainer and album of the year."To the fans that come out to see the shows, thank you so much," Darrin Vincent said during an acceptance speech. "I promise you we'll give our 100 percent best to honor bluegrass music this year."
Vincent quit Ricky Skaggs' Kentucky Thunder last year to form Dailey & Vincent with Jamie Dailey of Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver. The duo was up for 10 awards at the Bluegrass ceremony. Other winners included Blue Highway for song of the year ("Through the Window of a Train") and Dale Ann Bradley for female vocalist of the year.
"This is very sweet," Bradley said. "I appreciate this so much."
