American Psycho Heading to Broadway
American Psycho is heading to Broadway in musical form. The satirical novel was written by Bret Easton Ellis and examined 1980s excess through the psychosis of its lead character, Wall Street banker and serial killer Patrick Bateman. The 2000 film featured Christian Bale in one of his earliest American roles. In the story, Bateman was a huge fan of poppy musical acts of the era, like Huey Lewis and the News. The musical is currently in the development stages, with the creative team beginning the selection process for the person who will pen the score. No timeline has been established, but it's said that the stage adaptation will feature covers from and inspired by the 1980s.
