    Cat Power Announces Yet Another Cover Song Collection

    Cat Power has confirmed the details behind Dark End of the Street, a digital/double 10'' EP of cover songs cut during her Jukebox sessions. Four of the six tracks are previously unreleased, including songs by the Pogues ("Auld Triangle"), James Carr ("Dark End of the Street"), Fairport Convention ("Who Knows Where the Time Goes"), and Aretha Franklin ("It Ain't Fair").

    Dark End of the Street is due out on December 9 through Matador Records. Cat Power also has the following tour dates on tap this month:

    10/7 Tempe, AZ - Marquee Theatre
    10/9 Dallas, TX - Palladium Ballroom
    10/10 Houston, TX - Warehouse
    10/11 Austin, TX - Stubb's Waller Creek
    10/25-26 Mountain View, CA – Shoreline Amphitheatre (Bridge School Benefit)
