Salma Hayek Developing Another TV Show

Multi-tasker Salma Hayek continues to take roles behind the camera during this phase of her storied career. The actress and mom is currently developing and serving as executive producer on The New McToms, a multi and single camera half-hour family comedy for Fox. The series is said to have an ethnic flavor to it. The actress already serves as executive producer for the ABC hit Ugly Betty.

The show will revolve around a conservative mother who deals with three children marrying spouses of different ethnicities. ABC Studios is producing the project. Hayek and her Ventanarosa shingle, which is set up at ABC Studios, are also dipping their toes in the reality show pool, developing a wedding-themed series for Merv Griffin Entertainment. No casting choices have been revealed for The New McToms.
