R. Kelly Tries to Collect $3.4 Million From Tour Promoter
R. Kelly Touring filed court documents with a Los Angeles judge on Monday, asking him to help the R&B star collect a $3.4 million award against a former tour promoter. An arbitrator granted Kelly the money last month after finding that Rowe Entertainment and its owner, Leonard Rowe, did not pay him in full for performances in late 2007 and early 2008. Ne-Yo won a similar case against Rowe this year, pulling in a $700,000 judgment after being dropped from Kelly's tour.A new R. Kelly record is expected late this year.
