Michael Sheen is filling his schedule with several films. The British actor has signed on for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. Additionally, Anne Hathaway has recently agreed to play the "good" White Queen in the film, with Burton's longtime paramour and muse Helena Bonham Carter coming on board to play her sister, The Red Queen.
Sheen has also accepted a role in Unthinkable, a government thriller about torture and terrorists starring Samuel L. Jackson and directed by Gregor Jordan. Sheen will play an American Muslim who claims he planted nuclear bombs in three different U.S. cities. Unthinkable begins shooting this month in Los Angeles. Sheen is known for portraying real-life characters in politically-themed dramas, so these two films mark a departure for him.
Brandon Routh and Carrie-Anne Moss have also joined the cast of Unthinkable. Routh will play an FBI anti-terrorist expert in a division run by Moss' Agent Brody.
