Hot Chip Singer Drops Solo Surprise
Alex Taylor—the Hot Chipper with the warmly thin voice and Rick Moranis glasses—has just hit the neon electorate with an October surprise in the form of his first solo album, Rubbed Out. The 15-track collection was said to have been created in "places, planes, hotel rooms, and at home." Looks like he made good use of the in-between time his band was clocking on their never-ending tour schedule this year. You can pick up the album, which includes Taylor's stab at Paul McCartney's "Coming Up," online at Treader.
