Pushes release to late 2008
Paramount Delays Defiance
Defiance, the World War II drama revolving around four Jewish brothers who embark on an escape from Nazi-occupied Poland starring Daniel Craig and Liev Schrieber, has seen its release date pushed to late December.Defiance, a Paramount Vantage production, was originally gunning for a limited December 12 release date. The studio has pushed the film's bow to December 31, which still allows it a slim chance to be considered for the 2009 Academy Awards. The film's nationwide release is now scheduled for January 16.
