Helmet and Owl to Play the Viper Room on Halloween

Alt. metal legends Helmet plan on taking the Sunset Strip's legendary Viper Room by storm this Halloween. They're also bringing some friends along with them. Los Angeles's very own OWL will be supporting Helmet at the show, and they're sure to match the headliner's complete sensory destruction with their own brand of volatile, emotionally charged hard rock.

OWL guitarist Jason Achilles Mezilis comments, "This is the band's first show with our new lineup. We've been finishing up our latest record for about a year, so we're pretty excited to get it into people's hands. Since we're sharing the night with some pretty heavy-hitters, people can definitely expect to hear OWL's more powerful tunes. In fact, much of the new record touches on evocative and stirring themes that really play out well with the Halloween theme. It's the perfect time for people to get a new taste of the music."

Fronted by upright-bass wielding vocalist Chris Wyse (The Cult, Ozzy Osbourne), OWL are set to crunch some chords. Jason continues, "We make a lot of noise for a trio, and it's an honor to share the stage with such an influential band that still maintains its integrity. We're really looking forward to the whole night, and Helmet's definitely going to inspire us to bring the best show we can to the stage."
