Amy Poehler, Will Arnett Welcome Son
The world just got a little bit funnier. On Saturday, October 25, Saturday Night Live funny gal Amy Poehler gave birth to her first child, son Archie. Archie's father is Poehler's husband and occasional co-star, comedian Will Arnett.Archie was born in New York, where the couple lives, and weighed in at 8 lbs., 1 oz. A spokesperson for the couple released a statement saying, "Amy, Will, and Archie are healthy and resting comfortably." Poehler's SNL "Weekend Update" co-anchor Seth Meyers broke the story live on TV that night, saying that Poehler was absent from the news desk because she was otherwise occupied and having the baby.
Poehler and Arnett have been married since 2005 and Archie is the first offspring for both.
