Mastodon Confirm Title, Tentative Release Date of New Record
After much deliberation, Mastodon has finally set the track list and release date of their fourth full-length record, Crack the Skye. Due out in early 2009, the Brendan O'Brien-produced disc includes seven tracks and 50 minutes of new music, one of which ("The Czar") is split into four (!) movements."I think most of our new material is going to be more under the rock category," bassist/vocalist Troy Sanders recently told MetalSucks, "But it's pretty epic and involved, extremely layered, broad, melodic, dark, and creepy."
Crack the Skye:
1. Oblivion
2. Divinations
3. Quintessence
4. The Czar
I. Usurper
II. Escape
III. Martyr
IV. Spiral
5. Ghost of Karelia
6. Crack The Skye
7. The Last Baron
