Phil Spector Retrial Begins
Phil Spector's murder trial began in a Los Angeles courtroom today, with the first bit of testimony coming from Vincent Tannazzo, a retired NYPD detective who later became a bodyguard for Joan Rivers. Tannazzo claims he's heard Spector say derogatory things about women—including that they should be shot—at parties where he's worked as security. As previously reported, Spector's first murder case ended in a 10-2 deadlock, with most jurors asking for a second-degree murder conviction.
