Mastodon Readies Limited Box Set

Relapse has announced the November 18 release of a limited box set that includes all of Mastodon's albums on 180-gram vinyl. The nine-LP collection features the following: a double-LP expansion of Blood Mountain and Leviathan, the final pressing of Lifesblood, Remission, a Call of the Mastodon reissue, covers of The Melvins ("The Bit"), Thin Lizzy ("Emerald") and Metallica ("Orion"), and a live record documenting the group's set at the Relapse Contamination Festival in 2003. Oh, yeah—the 1,000-copy set will be packaged in a heavy-duty foil stamped black box along with an embroidered logo patch, vinyl stickers and a customized slipmat.
