Sylvester Stallone is Expendable

Sylvester Stallone is back on the big screen again. Sly will star in and direct The Expendables, an action-adventure flick for Nu Image/Millennium Films. Stallone, no stranger to screenwriting, having written the Oscar-nominated screenplay for Rocky, wrote The Expendables script, too.

Stallone will star alongside Jason Statham and Jet Li, both well-known action stars in their own right. The film will revolve around a team of mercenaries played by the aforementioned actors who embark on a dangerous mission to overthrow a dictator in South America. The film starts shooting in Costa Rica and Louisiana this February.
