Interviews: Twilight

Love hurts. That's the message at the heart of Twilight. However, in this case, it's well worth the pain. The love between Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) is fraught with tension, obsession, and passion. That love made for a great novel, and now it makes for a fantastic film. Even though the emotions are intense, Twilight still has all the trappings of a solid high school drama, with director Catherine Hardwicke examining teen alienation through a deft lens. To call the film "deep" would be an understatement.
