Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and Greg Mottola Team up for Paul

Greg Mottola, the director of 2007's surprise hit summer comedy Superbad, will direct British actor Simon Pegg in the forthcoming comedy, Paul. Nick Frost, who starred with Pegg in Hot Fuzz, will also have a role in Paul. Pegg and Frost wrote the screenplay together and Working Title and Universal will produce the film.

Paul will be an extra terrestrially-themed comedy, featuring two British slackers who go to Comic Con and embark on a road trip where they visit the famed Area 51 site. They subsequently encounter an alien named Paul, who seeks their help in getting back to his home planet. Mottola expected to begin shooting the film in New Mexico in April of next year.
