Aaron Eckhart to Battle Los Angeles

Aaron Eckhart is attached to star in Battle: Los Angeles, a sci-fi themed thriller for Columbia Pictures. Jonathan Liebesman will direct, with Neal Moritz and Original Film producing.

The film will be the first time Eckhart, fresh off his biggest role to date in last summer's mega-smash, The Dark Knight, stars in an action film. The plot will center on a Marine platoon that encounters an alien invasion on the mean streets of Los Angeles. Eckhart will portray the platoon's leader. A start date has not been announced.
