Twilight Sequels Confirmed
Vampires will continue to dominate the big screen over the next few years. After this weekend's box office bonanza, where Twilight raked in $70.6 million in what was the biggest opening weekend ever for a female director, it's no wonder that Summit Entertainment has locked up the rights to the next three books in the series.Summit is planning to make films out of New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg has been tapped to adapt the second and third novels into scripts. Summit has not announced any tentative release dates for the two follow ups yet. It has not been revealed if director Catherine Hardwicke will helm the sequels.
