Dan Deacon Unveils New Disc
While it isn't hitting stores in late 2008 as originally planned, Dan Deacon's Bromst record is now ready for a March 24 release through Carpark. To get fans psyched a few months early, Deacon has a number of new live shows lined up, including a Brooklyn gig with a 15-piece band. Aside from members of Baltimore brethren bands such as Ecstatic Sunshine, Ponytail, and Adventure, the ensemble includes the entire So Percussion quartet. That Brooklyn act will open the show along with Dirty Projectors."I'm both very excited and really nervous," Deacon says of the show on his MySpace page. "While most of songs are ones I have been playing live for a while, it will nonetheless be our 'first show.'"
